Meet the Speakers

Michael Shih
PharmD BCCCP

Michael grew up in Houston, Texas and received his doctor of pharmacy degree from the University of Houston. He then went on to complete his residency training at the Memorial Hermann Health System where he would eventually become a critical care and emergency medicine pharmacist. Michael joined the OHSU Parkinson Center of Oregon in 2022 as the clinical pharmacist. In this role, Michael helps patients navigate the complexities of medications.

Dr. Kelly Block grew up in Scottsdale, Arizona. She went to the University of California, Irvine, for college and played on the Division I women’s soccer team. She graduated with a degree in psychology cognitive sciences and took a year after college to work in social science and ecology research with adolescents and young adults with cancer at the Children’s Hospital of Orange County. She then went on to complete the Scripps Post-Baccalaureate Premedical Program in Claremont, California. She attended medical school at Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine in Glendale, Arizona, and subsequently completed her neurology residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in the Texas Medical Center. She is now a second-year fellow in movement disorders at Oregon Health & Science University and the Portland VA.
Kyle Paulk

Dr. Kyle Paulk is a movement disorders fellow who will be completing training to specialize in Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders. He is working on a project in fellowship to investigate the use of transcranial magnetic stimulation for features of Parkinson’s disease under the guidance of Dr. Marian Dale. In his free time, he enjoys playing piano, chess and rock climbing.
