Lauren Talman joined the OHSU Parkinson Center and Movement Disorders Program in 2019. She completed Neurology residency at the University of Virginia and a Movement Disorders fellowship at Boston University. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Neurology and is the director of the HDSA Center of Excellence. Lauren is originally from Iowa City, IA. Together with her husband, she enjoys exploring the outdoor offerings of the Pacific Northwest and taking food-inspired trips near and far.

Rachel is a licensed clinical social worker for OHSU’s Outpatient Neurology team. Previously, she was OHSU’s Inpatient Care Management team where she was the social worker for the neurology floors within the hospital. Rachel obtained her undergraduate degree at the University of Iowa and her Master’s in Social Work at St. Louis University. Her education mainly focused on aging, chronic disease management, and palliative care. Rachel has been practicing as a licensed clinical social worker for nearly 20 years, primarily focused on the older adult population—adjustment to disease, caregiver burnout, Medicare/Medicaid and social security/disability challenges, long term care, and hospice and end of life. She strives to ensure that patients and their families have the tools and resources needed to be as successful as possible, even amongst health challenges.
Rachel has resided in the Portland area for the past 18 years. She enjoys hiking, riding her new electric bike, and watching football. If you asked her 2 teenagers how they would describe her, they would undoubtedly tell you to watch out on April Fool’s Day. That is Rachel’s favorite holiday, a prankster at heart, always looking to make people smile and laugh.

Angelina joined the outpatient neurological rehabilitation team at OHSU in 2018. She specializes in treating individuals with neurological conditions and has a particular interest in working with people with stroke, spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, and Huntington’s disease. Angelina uses an activity-based model of care to help promote independence and recovery. She is passionate about helping each person progress towards their functional goals. Outside of work, Angelina enjoys running, going on bike rides, hiking, traveling, and eating lots of delicious food in Portland!
